Hybrid Power and Fibre Cables

page1_img3

Description

Codecom Hybrid Power & Fibre Cables combine optical fibre and copper power conductors within a single composite cable assembly, delivering both high-speed data connectivity and electrical power to remote equipment through one cable run. By eliminating the need for separate fibre and power infrastructure, hybrid cables simplify installation, reduce cable pathway congestion, and lower overall project costs.

Every Codecom hybrid cable is built to order and fully customisable. The optical fibre core count, copper conductor gauge, number of power pairs, cable length, and termination configuration are all specified to match the exact requirements of each deployment. Whether the application demands a lightweight 2-fibre assembly with a single power pair or a high-capacity 144-fibre trunk with multiple heavy-gauge power feeds, Codecom engineers and manufactures the solution to suit.

Features and Applications

  • Optical fibre and copper power conductors in a single composite cable — one cable run, two services
  • Fully customisable fibre core count, copper gauge, pair count, and cable length
  • Singlemode (OS2) and multimode (OM3/OM4/OM5) fibre options
  • Copper conductors available from 18 AWG through to 6 AWG to suit power delivery requirements
  • Factory-terminated fibre fanouts with LC, SC, MPO, or other connector types to specification
  • Colour-coded and labelled copper power leads for error-free field connection
  • FRP central strength member and aramid yarn tensile reinforcement for demanding pull environments
  • PVC or LSZH outer sheath options for indoor, outdoor, and riser-rated applications
  • Dual rip cords for safe and efficient cable preparation on-site
  • 100% factory-tested — every fibre and every conductor verified before dispatch
  • Custom labelling, breakout lengths, and termination hardware available
